Transmissions
Most Transmissions are the same for every plague. Here is the list of transmissions and what each one does:
Tier 1 Transmissions
Tier 1 Transmissions are the transmissions that are available to you right at the start of the game without using any DNA points.
Tier | 1 | Transmissions | ||
---|---|---|---|---|
Icon | Name | Effect | Base DNA Cost | Prerequisite |
[1] | Bird 1 | Birds become susceptible to infection. Avian carriers increase infectivity, land transmission and mutation | -12 | None |
[2] | Rodent 1 | Common flea susceptible to infection. Increase infectivity, especially in urban regions and mutation | -10 | None |
[3] | Livestock 1 | Livestock susceptible to infection. Increase infectivity, especially in rural regions and mutation | -7 | None |
[4] | Blood 1 | Gives organism ability to spread through blood to blood contact. Increases infectivity, especially in poor regions and mutation chance | -8 | None |
[5] | Insect 1 | Insects susceptible to infection. Carrier insects increase infectivity, especially in hot climates and chance of mutation | -9 | None |
[6] | Air 1 | Gives pathogen ability to travel on dust particles. Increase infectivity, especially in arid environments and plane transmission | -9 | None |
[7] | Water 1 | Pathogen can survive outside the body in fresh, warm water. Increase infectivity, especially in humid environments and ship transmission | -9 | None |
Tier 2 Transmissions
Tier 2 Transmissions are the transmissions that are available to you after buying one Transmission in that Transmission type.
Tier | 2 | Transmissions | ||
---|---|---|---|---|
Icon | Name | Effect | Base DNA Cost | Prerequisite |
[8] | Bird 2 | Avian brain tissue compromised causing birds to attack other species. Increases mutation, infectivity and land based transmission. | -18 | Bird 1 |
[9] | Rodent 2 | Rodents directly susceptible to infection. Increase infectivity, especially in urban regions and mutation. | -16 | Rodent 1 |
[10] | Livestock 2 | Wildlife susceptible to infection. Increase infectivity, especially in rural regions and mutation. | -12 | Livestock 1 |
[11] | Blood 2 | Infected bodily fluids able to pass through mucous membranes. Increases infectivity, especially in poor regions and mutation chance. | -13 | Blood 1 |
[12] | Insect 2 | Increases rate of transfer between insects. Increase infectivity, especially in hot climates and chance of mutation. | -20 | Insect 1 |
[13] | Air 2 | Gives organism ability to survive suspended in air for a long time. Increase infectivity, especially in arid environments and plane transmission. | -14 | Air 1 |
[14] | Water 2 | Pathogen able to survive in chemically treated water. Increase infectivity, especially in humid environments and ship transmission. | -15 | Water 1 |
Tier 3 Transmissions
Tier 3 Transmissions are the transmissions that are available to you after buying two transmissions that have the same infection type.
Tier | 3 | Transmissions | ||
---|---|---|---|---|
Icon | Name | Effect | Base DNA Cost | Prerequisite |
[15] | Extreme Zoonosis | Infection crosses multiple species barriers. Increases infectivity, especially in rural and urban areas, mutation chance and cross-country transmission. | -22 | Bird 2, Livestock 2, and Rodent 2 |
[16] | Extreme Hematophagy | Pathogen uses host lymphocytes to replicate. Increase in infectivity, especially in poor regions and mutation chance. | -24 | Insect 2, Blood 2 |
[17] | Extreme Bioaerosol | Pathogen bypasses air/water filters due to adaptive cellular shell. Increase infectivity, especially in humid & arid climates and plane/ship transmission. | -16 | Air 2, Water 2 |
