The following is a list of rules that all wiki persons must follow, in categories listed in alphabetical order:
General
- Do not give people you do not trust access to your account. This is very important, as a chat moderator on Elder Scrolls gave his little brother access, and the brother then trolled everyone on chat and wrote offensive forum posts. This is extremely important that you do not let this happen. If this happens to a staff member, they will be demodded immediately, and sometimes, if serious enough, blocked.
- To all editors: All edits go through the Special:WikiActivity page, which is where admins and patrollers can see every edit made recently. It is impossible to get away with vandalism, as we check multiple edits made by users as well, so users can't cover those edits up with legitimate ones.
Chat
- Users can swear, but racial slurs are not allowed.
- Users cannot harass others.
- Users cannot fill up chat with non-topic-related nonsense, or they will be kicked and sometimes banned.
- Users can only post links to external sites on Wikia, Wikipedia and YouTube.
- Profanity on chat is allowed
- Do not participate in other people's chats if your purpose is trolling
Editing
- Do not create pages that are not related to Plague Inc., Plague Inc. Evolved, or its developers.
Forums
- Do not post perverted replies, or you will be blocked, indefinitely
- Do not use profanity, or you will also be blocked indefinitely
Vandalism
On the Plague Inc. Wiki, there are extremely strict rules about vandalism. Any users who perform this act will be blocked - infinitely. This is because these users have shown
- Comment spamming (blocked; one week)
- When users insert nonsense into talk pages, or write the f-word. (blocked; infinite)
- Nonsense in pages (same as above)
- Vandalism to pages, such as writing curse words and such (same as above)
- Spam and porn links (same as above)
- Non-topic-related sexual references (depends in which area)
- Trolling (same as above)
- Other types of harassment (same as above)
- Wiki (edit) wars (blocked for 2 weeks, on both sides (except when an admin is involved, and only if the admin is right. If one of these "Wars" is taking place, and you believe you are right, complain to an Admin)
- NOTE: Profanity and sexual references on chat are considered okay, but spam and trolling are not
Optional Rules
- We would like for all users to edit with accounts, so administrators can keep track of all users, as it is harder with anonymous IP addresses.
