Obsession is a symptom in the Neurax Worm DLC. It causes severe damage to the orbital cortex, triggering OCD (Obsessive-compulsive disorder). It forces the host to obsess over a worm-related task.
Types[]
There are three possible obsessions. The following are listed and described below:
Eradicating parasitic worms[]
The most common, which causes Neurax Worm hosts to give a boost to cure development.
Earthworm collecting[]
One of the possibilities that results from acquiring this symptom is that the infected population develops an obsession with collecting worms, which increases the overall infectivity to a certain level.[Note 1]
Avoiding parasitic worms[]
In the event that the player evolves this symptom, there is a possibility that people will become obsessed with avoiding contact with worms as much as possible. This will slow down the efficiency of research towards a cure for the disease.[Note 2]
