Metabolic Jump is a gene available for the standard plagues, in addition to the Neurax Worm, Virus Necroa and Simian Flu DLCs. Similar to Cytochrome Surge and Catalytic Switch, which are for popping orange bubbles and Cure bubbles respectively.
The DNA points given by the red bubbles depends on the severity of the player's disease traits,[1] the DNA range given by the gene is randomized[2] In addition it also affects how much the player kills and infects.[1]
Formula[]
- a = Disease's severity
Note: If the player's severity is between 0.1, he will get fewer DNA points than when his severity is below 0. In most cases, he will only get one DNA point.
Trivia[]
- In the Shadow Plague DLC, this gene is not available, but is replaced by the Mad Scientist gene.
Recommendations[]
- This gene is recommended when playing in Speedrun Mode, as compared to ATP Boost, it will grant a much better mid-term speed, which, is significant compared to start-term advantages actually.
- According to the Twinfinite website, it recommends using gene to beat Bacteria in Brutal Difficulty because it helps to obtain DNA faster.[3]
