Leadership is a gene exclusive to the Simian Flu DLC. It decreases the costs of active abilities.

- The Russian gaming website MMOHelper.ru recommends this gene in order to beat Simian Flu.[1] In addition, the Chinese website Xiǎo Yóuxì 100 (Chinese: 小游戏100), also recommends this gene as one of the most indispensable to complete the game on Hard difficulty, because it reduces the cost of the apes' special abilities.[2]
