Latent Catalyst is a gene exclusive to the Simian Flu DLC. It gives the player DNA points when Gen-Sys labs are destroyed.

This gene tends to be used in games that have a fairly aggressive strategy towards Gen-Sys, as destroying their labs with Ape Rampage will partially slow down the progress of the cure. Using Latent Catalyst makes this action much more productive, and gives the player extra DNA to invest in other traits as the world begins to rapidly contain and combat Simian Flu.
