Haemoptysis is a symptom in the Simian Flu DLC, Nipah Virus & Black Death Scenarios. With this symptom, patients cough up blood from inflamed bronchi and increase infectivity. It can be fatal.

- In the Nipah Virus scenario, it is necessary to evolve the Respiratory Shift ability to obtain this symptom. In the case of the Black Death scenario, the Septicemic plague ability is required to acquire this trait.
