Golden Age

"A global growth surge brings huge economic gains that primarily benefit the people at the bottom of the pyramid, improving the quality of life for billions. Healthcare and research is significantly improved worldwide. Can humanity be stopped?" — Plague Inc., Golden Age introduction paragraph.

Golden Age is one of the official game scenarios introduced in Mutation 1.7 released at the end of 2013. This scenario is about a large part of the world being benefited after an economic boom, which makes a large part of the population much richer, making them have much more money to invest in the developments of the cure, besides that in this scenario most of the poor countries are considered middle class, and those that were already considered middle class in the standard game are now rich in this scenario.

Country Research Labs

Many countries have a greater research and healthcare capability, and so it would be advisable to evolve Drug Resistance abilities. This new research capability comes in the form of there being an increased number of cure bottles. In a normal game, there are 340 bottles, but in this scenario, their numbers are increased to 446.
