Getting Colder is an achievement that can only be won with the Necroa Virus DLC.

How to get this achievement?

Genes are not required to get this achievement. The suggested genes are:

• ATP Boost
• Native Biome
• ThermoNecro
• Creationist
• Xerophile

1. Start in Egypt.
2. Evolve the Ability Heat Resistance 1 and the Transmission Saliva 1. This must be done in the first 60 days.
3. Wait for a pop-up message which reads:
   • Exploration of secret tomb in Pyramid of Giza continues
4. Wait for two red News items which may not show on the ticker at the top of the game:
   • Pyramid of Giza hieroglyphs ‘warn of ancient plague’
   • Mummy from Pyramid of Giza tomb has ‘odd bite marks’
5. Evolve the Symptoms Insomnia, Fever, Photophobia, Delirium and Cytopathic Reanimation.
6. Wait for a pop-up message reading:
   • PAX-12 may have come from Pyramid of Giza
7. Evolve the Transmissions Zoonotic Shift, Insect 1 and Rodent 1 & 2.
8. Wait for a pop-up message reading:
   • PAX-12 DNA supports Giza link
9. Evolve the Abilities Horde Instinct, Autolytic Delay, Putrefactive Resistance, Liquefactive Resistance, Regenerative Activation, Regenerative Bio-synthesis, Ambush Predation, Epidermal Digestion, Liquefactive Necrosis and Cranial Metastasis.
10. Wait for a pop-up message reading:
    • Giza Pyramid expedition a failure
