Cortisol Sensitivity is a gene exclusive to the Simian Flu DLC. It reduces research from Gen-Sys experiments.

- By using this gene the player will get more time to evolve certain traits such as symptoms or abilities, since in the Simian Flu, the main contributor to the cure are the Gen-Sys labs and this gene may cause these labs to lose some effectiveness when conducting their research work, which makes it quite useful for time-consuming strategies.[2]
